G&W Contracts were the Principal Contractor and PSCS for the Backup Generator Installation Project at a distribution and storage warehouse, which includes office space. The works were undertaken in 2023.

The project involved the supply and installation of a 250 KVA backup generator, along with all necessary civil works. A generator bund was excavated and poured to provide a stable foundation and contain any fuel spills. This included excavating the bund footprint, footpath, and installing stone filling, the generator foundation, fuel tank slab, and bund walls. A petrol interceptor was installed and connected to the estate's main lines.

After completing the concrete works, the backup generator and remote fuel tank were installed with full electrical integration. Secure fencing, pedestrian gates, and handrails were added around the generator area. The site was landscaped with trees, shrubs, and topsoil. A full site shutdown and generator test were completed to ensure proper performance before project handover.
