As the Main Contractor and PSCS, G&W Contracts managed the safe removal and disposal of approximately 27,000m³ of stockpiled material, ranging from 6 to 10 meters in height. The project involved meticulous site preparation, material testing, and traffic management to ensure efficient and compliant operations.
A comprehensive site survey and soil testing were performed to assess soil quality, with samples submitted for Waste Acceptance Criteria (WAC) testing. Following the results, the material was carefully removed and disposed of off-site. Temporary haulage roads were constructed to facilitate soil transportation, and stringent measures were implemented to manage overhead power lines, including the establishment of exclusion zones and the installation of goalpost barriers and bunting. The site was equipped with security fencing, signage, and welfare facilities to support operations. Throughout the project, haulage roads and site areas were consistently maintained. After the material removal, the temporary roads were dismantled, and the site was levelled and reseeded, ensuring a clean and restored environment.
